Prerequisites There are no hardware or software prerequisites. Activation and registration To activate the product you must enter the activation code that came with the product. Entering the code will redirect you to the My Media Zone website. When you login, you will be able to manage your account. You can cancel the software activation at any time by clicking on the "Yes, I agree" button in the registration form. Check for updates Checking for updates is only needed if the version you are running is not the current version. The version will be displayed in the lower left corner of the window. In order to do this, open the program, and then, in the drop down menu, go to Help | Check for updates. This will inform you about any updates available. If you are running an older version, or if you want to use a newer version, please follow the steps below. Calibration and use Calibration Before using the software, calibrate the webcam. Calibration allows the webcam to be set up in the best possible way for the software to work correctly. This is done by doing two things: - Visually calibrating the webcam: adjust the focus and zoom to your liking. To do this, open the main window and select the "Calibrate" option in the lower left corner. - The software will automatically begin running, but you can finish the calibration manually by clicking on the "Cancel" option in the lower left corner. Note: Sometimes it is necessary to repeat the calibration after a system reboot. Use When you first start using the program you will be asked to select the folder where images and videos will be saved. If you do not provide a folder, the default images and videos folders (My Documents | Images | Video) will be used. Maintenance When the software is not in use, or if there are some problems, you can set the default settings. To do this, open the main window, click on the "Settings" option in the lower left corner and click on the "Default Settings" option. This will display the default settings in a form. You can change any of the options here. To reset all the default settings click on the "Reset Default Settings" option.
